Hand turned Wood Ring Dish, Ring Bowl, Ring Holder, Coin Dish, Rustic Mesquite Bowl makes a great Gift for Her, Mothers Day Gift, Fathers Day Gift or Practical Gift for Him. This mesquite bowl highlights the contrast between the dark heartwood, yellow sap-wood and reddish bark. Unique sap stains around the pith and knots add to the visual interest of this piece. Sanded smooth and finished with mineral oil and beeswax. 3.75" across and 1.5" tall this is a perfect wedding gift or graduation gift.
Made from a 20 to 25 year old tree grown on our farm. Mesquite wood is very hard, allowing it to be used for furniture and implements and for decorative woodworking and wood turning. It is highly desirable due to its dimensional stability after being fully cured. The hard, dense lumber is also sold as "Texas Ironwood" and is rather harsh on chain saws and other tools.
